Show Signpost Monday, May 9, 1988 11 Afar (cont'd from page 9) Rawstorne lost only three matches in the fall, but came to a lull during the winter season. "Rawstorne has made a turn around in his playing," said Cox. "He should grow and develop about 15 to 20 percent per year." Rawstorne explained that college tennis is a lot tougher because you have so many matches, but he enjoys the team spirit. "My goal is to be able to play my best," said Rawstorne. Rawstorne commented about being on the number-one team in the conference, "no match will be easy. We are going there as favorites and that is difficult. If we all play our game, we should win." Rawstorne also has the desire to play in big tournaments all over the world He enjoys the challenge of tough competition. This summer he plans to return to France and travel around playing various French tournaments. Ladies (cont'd from page 9) Susan Norton placed second in the 400-meter hurdles with 66.38. The Lady 'Cats got another second place finish in the 400-meter relay with 47.94 and ran for third in the mile relay with 3:50.83. Shauna Turner took second in the shot put with a 43'11" throw and third in the discus with a toss of 143'11". Paula John placed second in the high jump. "John really looked good in Saturday's meet; she was over six feet but just barely knocked the bar off," said Blaisdell. "Now we're getting physically and mentally ready for the conference championship in Moscow, Idaho," said Blaisdell. The Lady ' Cats will meet the same four teams there with the addition of Montana, Montana State, Eastern Washington and the University of Idaho. Blaisdell said, "N. Arizona and Boise State will probably take first and second at the conference meet leaving WSC, Montana, Montana State and Idaho Slate battling for the third, fourth, fifth and sixth spots."
