ARO : Making changes by Stephanie DeGraw Staff Reporter ARO, previously known as ACO, changed its name to avoid confusion, said Chad Twitchell, ARO President. - ARO serves as the coordinating body for ASWSC between all WSC organizations. Some of the presently involved groups are sports clubs, sororities and fraternities, nursing groups, rodeo, and a variety of other clubs. 1 "This year there are some positive changes in ARO," said Twitchell. "The first is making students more aware of ARO and what it offers them." Twitchell said the second change is the master calendar posted in the ASWSC offices. All clubs are encouraged to check the calendar to avoid over-scheduling and to stay informed. The third improvement is making sure all ARO members and clubs are registered properly.' This means each club must have a current constitution and list of officers, advisors and phone numbers. The club must have a representative in 'attendance at 75 percent of all ARO meetings. ARO meetings are held the first and third Thursday of each month in the Union Building Little Theater. The next meeting will be January 26 at 1 p.m. For more information contact ASWSC at 626-6349 and ask for Chad Twitchell or Brett England. by Kathy Kendell Government Affairs Editor While most WSC students were enjoying the holiday vacation, members of the Weber State debate team were competing at two tournaments in California.
