Recognizing this, the Weber State Skiers, a campus organization formed for all WSC students, faculty, staff and administrators, will begin selling memberships today across from the Union Building main desk at 12 noon. The organization was initiated two years ago for the purpose of skiing at the major ski resorts in the intermountain area at group rates. The club soon became the largest colle- Ten-Pin Roll-Off The Weber State bowling team will be chosen next week in a roll-off in the Union Building games area. The date and time have not been set up yet, but signs will be posited telling when the roll-off will be. Tom Kiernan, the team coach and director of the games area, said that candidates must be full time studenlts, who will have Saturdays free to travel. Team members should have a 2.00 GPA, at least a 170 bowling average, and no affiliation with local ABC leagues. The team will be made up of five men and five women, with six substitutes. They will roll as a league, with the top five men and women representing the college in competition with other institutions. giate ski group in the Intermountain Division of the United States Ski Association, with well over 500 members. Events start before the snow flies with dry land training instructed by Tom Low, a certified ski instructor and the club advisor. The December calendar lists the Snow Basin Torchlight Ceremony and party, plus a weekend trip to Park City. Every Friday throughout the season at Snow Basin is Weber State ski day, where members receive a 30 discount on a lift ticket, and can participate in club racing as well as the fine recreational skiing and ski instruction. Teton Village Trip Soon to follow the new year is the annual excursion to Teiton Village at Jackson Hole, Wyoming, where through another club benefit, $25.00 covers bus transportation, lodging at the Hostel, meals at the Mangy Moose Saloon, and two days of skiing on 55 miles of fabulous slopes, basins, and trails, reached by the largest aerial tramway in North America.The Weber State Skiers are under the direction of the Union Games and Recreation Committee with Dave Hardman as chairman.
