Show STATE TjAXD XOTICE. United States Land Offlee. Salt Lake City, Utah, January 29, 1000. To whom it may concern: Notice is hereby trjveu that the State of Utah has tiled in this ollice a list, No. 2-1, of lands selected by the said State for the establishment establish-ment and maintenance of a Reform School, under Sec. 1:2 of the Act of Congress approved July 16, 189-1. The following- tracts, embraced in said list, are in a township containing mineral claims of record: Xiie lot number six (0). of Section seven (7), in Township forty-one (-11), south, anil Ranffe thirteen (13J , west, Salt Lake Base and Meridian. Meri-dian. A copy of said list, so far as it relates to said tracts, by descriptive subdivisions, lias been conspicuously posted iu tiiis otiice, for inspection inspec-tion by any person interested, and by the public pub-lic generally. During the sixty days next following the date of this notice, under departmental instructions of Nov. 27, 1896 (23 L. D., 459), protests or contests con-tests against the claim of the State to any of the tracts or subdivisions hereinabove described, de-scribed, on the ground that the same is more valuable for mineral than for agricultural purposes, will be received and noted 1'ot- report to the General Land Office at Washington, D. C. Failure so to protest or contest within the period specified will be considered sufficient evidence of the non-mineral character of said tracts, and the selection thereof, being otherwise other-wise free from objection, will be recommended for approval.
