To "Whom it may concern: Notice is hereby given that the State of Utah has filed iu Hits ollice a list, No. 21 , of lauds selected by the said State for the establishment establish-ment and maintenance of a Deaf and Dumb Asylum, under See. 12 of the Act of Congress approved July 1(1, 189i. The following tract, embraced in said list, is in a township containing contain-ing mineral claims of record, viz: The west half of the northeast quarter of Section eleven, in Township fortv-one, south, and of Range, thirteen, west, Salt Lake Base and Meridian. A copy of said list, so far as it relates to said tract, by descriptive subdivisions, lias been conspicuously posted in this office fur inspection inspec-tion by any person interested, and bv the pub-lie pub-lie generally. Within the next sixty days following the date of tins notice, under departmental instructions of Nov. 27, 1896, (23 L. D.. 1W), protests or contests con-tests against the claim of the State to said tract above described, on the ground that the same is more valuable for mineral than for agricultural purposes, will be received and noted for report to the General Land Offlee at Yv ashmgton, D. C. Failure so to protest or contest con-test within the time spceilied will be considered sutncient evidence of the non-mineral character char-acter of said tract, the selection thereof belli" otherwise free from objection, will be reeonv lnended for approval.
