Show School Lunch Programs Conducted for County By Red Cross Executive The Washington County school lunch program is well handled, reports Mrs. Ruth E. Boyer, representing rep-resenting the American Red Cross as a field executive. Mrs. Boyer is in Washington county under assignment giving classes to all food handlers on the student stu-dent lunch program, which is under the direction of Mrs. Margie Mar-gie Dalton Barber of Hurricane. Workers in this area are very cooperative, reports Mrs. Boyer, and have already put into action several of the suggestions and ideas of food planning and preparation prep-aration given in the classes held thus far. She visited both the Hurricane and St. ..George units last week. This week Mrs. Boyer is giving classes in Enterprise. These classes clas-ses cover a review of nutrition, newer and .better methods of cooking and preparing lunches sanitateion, health hazzards, and associated subjects. The reaction of workers to the material presented pre-sented indicates a keen interest in their assignments, she states. |
