Show LaYERKIN Mrs. Ruby Webb Reporter Mr. and Mrs. James Judd have returned from Provo where they have been visiting. Mr. Judd is recovering from illness which overtook him while absent. Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Thompson of Cedar City visited over Sunday with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wilford Thompson. Mr. and Mrs. Edward Gubler are spending this week in Salt Lake City on business. Sgt. Golden Asay, who was recently re-cently discharged from military service, is here visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Chester Hardy, his brother-in-law and sister. Harrison Merrill barely escaped the loss of his right eye Saturday, when an acetylene torch blew up in his face while he was wiring wir-ing the home of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Hardy. Genevieve Gubler has returned home from Logan where she spent ten days attending classes in leadership school at the USAC. N. B. Gifford S 2C, son of Mr. and Mrs. Cyrus Gifford is home on leave and will report back on Christmas day. Stake Missionaries visiting La Verkin ward Sunday were Mr. and Mrs. Kendall Gifford and Larkin Gifford of Springdale, Ardell DeMille and Alma Cox of Rockville.1 All were speakers in sacrament meeting. There were also special music numbers. Miss Grace Duncan and her brother, Robert Stewart, left Sunday for Ogden where they will visit their sister, Mrs. Nolan P. Taylor. Carl Church accompanied them. Garth Day HA2C is here to spend the next 45 days with Mr. and Mrs. Cyrus Gifford who are his aunt and uncle. He was given honorable discharge from the Marine service but has re-enlisted for four years. |
