Show LEEDS Mrs. Evelyn McMullin Reporter Mrs. Dave Adams has gone to Rye, N Y, to meet her husband who is returning from overseas. , Mr. and Mrs. Ben Swapp of Kanab were guests this week of Mr. and Mrs. R. C. Savage. Ranger Irwin Johnson was a business visitor here Saturday. Mrs. Lloyd Adams accompanied her husband to Salt Lake City this week. Emerald Cox of the St. George Stake high council was in charge of Sacrament meeting Sunday. Richard McAllister and Grover Shakespear delivered sermons : with Mrs. Melba Baker singing solos. R. C. Savage is in St. Helena, Calif, this week on business. Roscoe McMullin is home with an honorable discharge. He has spent 4 years in the army with more than a year overseas. The M-Men and Gleaner girls held their fireside chat at the home of Misses Ilene and Elaine Sterling Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Corbett of St. George were present, pres-ent, Mrs. Corbett reviewing a 3-act Xmas play. Word has been received that Mr. and Mrs. Kermet P. Lee of Burbank, Calif, are celebrating the arrival of their fourth set of twins, Kent and Keith. The Lees' other double events are Wallace and Warren 12, Linda and Larry, 6, and Louise and Lucille, 2, in additeion to one "single", Roland age 7. Mr. and Mrs. Lee lived in our community during the time of the CCC camp. Guests Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. D. Fluckinger were Mr. and ,Mrs. David Dalteon, Mrs. Lee Dalton and Mrs. S. Reese, all of Para-goonah. Para-goonah. Mrs. David Dalton is Mrs. Fluckinger's sister. Visiting in Cedar City Saturday Satur-day were Mr. and Mrs. D. Fluckinger, Mrs. Minnie Harris, Dwayne Eagar, Mrs. George Olsen and Shirley Sullivan. A party was held on Tuesday evening honoring the outgoing Relief Society and MIA officers. |
