Show Roads, Game, and Water Rights of County To Be Discussed With State Officials Representatives of southern Utah organizations announce plans to meet with state Fish and Game commissioners, Governor Herbert B. I Reservoir Water Righto The purchase of water rights in j the Enterprise reservoir to assure the protection of fish in that body of water will be urged upon the game commission. It is reported that owners of water rights in the reservoir have agreed to sell enough water to assure 200 acre feet of water in the reservoir at all times. In addition to this a strong plea for the building of one or two small reservoirs in the Kolob district for recreation and fishing facilities will be entered with the commission. Washington Field and Canal company officials will also be present to discuss problems related to their water rights. The third project to be pushed will be the establishment of a fish hatchery or bird hatchery unci ! refuge in this county. Road Problems A hearing with the Governor will be sought for the purpose of discussing the oiling and finishing of the Enterprise road. The State Road commissioners and Federal Bureau of roads officials and forestry for-estry officials will also be contacted con-tacted relative to this problem. It will be pointed out that there is great need for the road that is now completed being oiled to protect the road-bed. Also the great need by the people of this section of building of a better road for the balance of the way between here and Enterprise. The road west from Enterprise to Crestline and Panaca will also be brought to their attention and its improvement urged. |
