Show Aluminum Drive To Be Completed In St. George Legion and Auxiliary "Push" Collection Of Nation-Wide Project St. George is going to complete its Aluminum Drive in the interest inter-est of National Defense announced Commander Ezra McArthur, chairman chair-man of the American Legion and Alice W. Milne of the Legion Auxiliary. Aux-iliary. July 29; was set as the closing date, but time extension is being taken to complete this drive in St. George. Merrill Stucki of the East ward gathered 50 pounds in that division divis-ion of the city and on Friday a pick-up will gather contributions in the Center ward. Other appointments ap-pointments are being made by the Legion for gatherers on the same day in the West and South wards. In the meantime, if there are any loyal people in St. George who have contributions to make and have not been contacted, if they will phone 83-J or contact Fay Syphus or Ezra McArthur, arrangements ar-rangements will be made to get it. "It may be our city has not as much aluminum to contribute as some places," say the sponsors, "but we are loyal people and will do our bit in spite of indifference of some who may feel the project proj-ect is not worth while." |
