Show CLUB NOTES Dixie Reviewers Hostess for the Dixie Reviewers for the October 17 session was Mrs. LeRoy H. Cox, the meeting being held in the dining room of the College science building. "Pleasant Valley" by Lewis Bromfield was the book reviewed by Mrs. LaVon McQuaid. Lunch was served to 27 members and guests, the latter including Mesdames Mes-dames Tom Ward, Alfred Bateman, Bate-man, Lee Esplin, George Whipple, and Charles Green, all of St. George, Ars. Von Cottam and Mrs. Leo McAllister of Salt Lake City and Mrs. Lee Beckstrom of Pine Valley. A. L. R. Chapter 16 Uniting as hostesses to Alice Louise Reynolds Chapter 16 Thursday evening, Oct. 18, were Mrs. Milton Burgess and Mrs. Mark Johnson, the session being held at the Johnson home. Mrs. Ray Gardner reviewed the book "Black Boy" by Richard Wright This is in interesting study of the Negro's place in the U. S. written by an educated negro. Lunch was served to 12 members. |
