Show Miss Edith Crosby Wed to WO Wendell Leavitt In Ceremony at Las Vegas Announcements are being issued this week by Mr. and Mrs. Arthur F. Miles of the marriage of their granddaughter, Miss Edith Crosby to Warrant Officer Wendell Leavitt Leav-itt of the U. S. Maritime service. Justice of the Peace Gene Ward officiated at the ceremony Satur-j Satur-j day evening, Oct. 20, at the Las I Vegas County court house, the bride wearing a blue wool suit matching in color the groom's uniform. uni-form. The bride is a daughter of Charles and the late Ida Miles Crosby of Flagstaff, Arizona, and has made her home with her grandparents since she was a small child. She is a graduate of Dixie junior college and the B. Y. U. Provo, and is teaching this year at Bunkerville high school, having taught last year at Woodward Wood-ward high school St. George. WO Leavitt is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Lemuel Leavitt of Bunkerville, Bunk-erville, and has been in the U S Maritime service the past 15 months. The marriage took place while he was home on leave over the week end, his ship, the S S Cape Town, being in port in San Francisco for loading. The couple spent Monday in St. George with the bride's grandparents, grand-parents, leaving Tuesday for San Francisco where' he rejoined his ship yesterday. |
