Show TOQUERVILLE Toquerville, July 1. Miss Alice Mae Breeze of this place died in the Cedar City hospital last Wednsday. Miss Breeze was hanging clothes on the line and the stick which propped the line up fell and struck her on the head, jarring one of the nerves connected con-nected with the spine. She was taken tak-en to the hospital where she suffered terribly for several hours with spinal trouble from the slight accident that proved fatal. Miss Breeze came from England last August and has been living here since with her aunt, Mrs. Hannah Jackson. Funeral ser- j vices were held in the ward hall June j 2 6th, and interment was made in the j city cemetary. I Mr. and Mrs. Mart Chatterley of Kanab spent Sunday here visiting the latter's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Howard How-ard Bringhurst. The Bee Hive and Sea Gull girls had a marshmallow roast last Tues- j day. They report a splendid time. j A. W. and Merle Pace of New Harmony Har-mony were here last Thursday visiting visit-ing relatives and friends. Mr. and Mrs. Martin Anderson made a business trip to St. George last week. Elmer Taylor of New Harmony was transacting business here Thursday. Thurs-day. Mr. and Mrs. Walter Slack, Jr., of Hurricane spent the week end here. |
