Show More Than 150 Friends and Relatives Attend Gtihler Wedding Reception More than 150 relatives and friends assembled at the St. George L. D. S. Institute building Saturday evening, July 15, for the wedding reception honoring Mr. and Mrs. Stanley L. Gubler, who exchanged marriage vows that evening at the St. George Temple. Pres. Harold S. Snow officiated in the presence of a large group of relatives and close friends. The bride is the former Miss C.vnrp Aleen Foremaster. daugh ter of Mr. and Mrs. David Fore-master, Fore-master, St. George, and the groom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Harmon Gubler Jr., of Ivins. The wedding reception was informally conducted con-ducted and the couple were unattended. unat-tended. The bride wore her wedding dress of white slipper satin with circular train. Her finger-length veil was of white illusion il-lusion and her boquet was of red roses and white lilies. Mr. and Mrs. Leland Lamoreanx were in charge of the program, which included a vocal solo, "O, Promise Me", by Mrs. Preston Hafen, Santa Clara; "I'll Get By", ladies' trio with Mrs. Kenneth Ence, Mrs. Charles Lempkin, Mrs. Hafen. Mrs. Clarence Moss accompanying ac-companying the two numbers; reading, Mabel Jarvis; and skit, "Their Courtship and Marriage". The skit was a burlesque on the bride and groom with original script by Leland Lamoreaux. his daughter, Gwen, reading. The bride was Myrna Gay Barton; the groom, 'Douglas Pearce; best man, Clair Webb; the minister, Clair Schmutz; flower girls Carolyn Foremaster and Shiela Baker; bridesmaids, Carol Foremaster and Mary Webb; train-bearers, Marilyn Mari-lyn Foremaster and Donna Am: Webb; and ring-bearer, E. J. Foremaster. Music numbers included in-cluded in the skit were "School Days", by the Lytle sisters, Carolyn Caro-lyn Marie and Rachel; duet, "At the Woodward High", Leland Lamoreaux Lam-oreaux and Murray Webb; solos, "Love Came Calling Me One Morning", Mrs. William E. Atkin Jr., assisted as-sisted by Miss Dean Syphus had charge of the gift room; Miss Alta Mae Neilson directed the serving assisted by Althea Rose Nelson, Charlotte Morris, Audrey Morris and Betty Lou Laub. The couple left at midnight for a short wedding trip to parts unknown, un-known, planning to return this week, end to make their home for the present in Ivins. Miss Alta Mae Nelson and Miss Dean Syphus were hostesses recently re-cently at a miscellaneous shower honoring the bride. Forty guests were present and refreshments were served following the opening of the gifts. |
