Show Funeral Services Held For Mary Beth Cox Funeral services were held in the stake Tabernacle Tuesday at 2 p. m., for Mary Beth Cox, 16-month-old daughter of Rulon B. and Ida Iverson Cox, who died at the family home Sunday, Nov. 22nd, at 6:45 p.m., of encephalitis encephal-itis following an attack of influenza. in-fluenza. , Bishop Wilford Schmutz conducted con-ducted the funeral services with Mrs. Bud Seegmiller presiding at the organ and accompanying the music numbers. The latter included in-cluded two vocal trios, "All Through the Night", and Brahm's "Lullabye", with Mrs. Rex Nelson, Mrs. Murray Webb and Mrs. Gerald Ger-ald Bleak; duet. "In the Garden", Mrs. Howard Morris and Mrs. Mildred Nisson of Washington; and violin solo, Mrs. Webb.. Words of consolation were given the parents in the addresses by Pres. Harold S. Snow and Patriarch Patri-arch George E. Prayers were by Arthur Cottam of the East ward bishopric and Asa Judd, the latter also reading the poem, "God Knoweth Best". The grave in the city cemetery was dedicated by Bishop Wallace Iverson of Washington. Suriving besides the parents are two brothers, Rulon Walter, 7; Mervin Kay, 6; one sister, Ida Deloa, 3, all of St. George; the maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Iverson, Washington; and the paternal grandmother, Mrs. Emma H. Cox, now in Los Angeles. |
