Show Dixie Ties B. A. C. In Hard Fought Defensive Game Here The Dixie college football team played a glorious defensive game to hold the strong Branch Aggies to a scoreless tie in the last contest con-test of the season. The game was played here last Friday. Dixie kicked off. After an Aggie return of the ball, the B. A. C. boys fumbled on the first play, with Dixie recovering, and it looked as if Dixie were going to town. The Aggies defense held, however,' and the Flyers never seriously threatened the visitors' goal line. The B. A. C. made twelve first downs to two for Dixie, and the Dixie fans were sweating on at least two occasions; but the Flyer defense held in the pinches, and the game ended with a score of Since the Flyers were unable to down the Aggies, the battle ax will remain in Cedar City. The two coaches have now turned their attention to basketball, basket-ball, but are not just sure what it is all about. No action has as yet been taken on the college conference, and the high school league play has been eliminated in this region. Training is taking place as usual us-ual however, with the mentors "n hope that an adequate program pro-gram will be worked out. |
