Show Marion Bowler Wields Baton At Sunday 'Sing' Marion Bowler wielded the baton for the Sunday evening Community Com-munity Sing in the absence of Mrs. Mae A. Pace, who is visiting visit-ing over Thanksgiving in San Francisco. Paul Thompson was accompanist and the program was capably presented with the cooperation co-operation of a large audience of cadets and local citizens. Besides the usual round of old favorites of later song hits, there were songs of both World War I and the present day. Cadet Bob Brayton lead in the "Pledge to Old Glory", and Cadet Ernest Ritchie sang two request numbers, num-bers, "Friend of Mine", and "Road to Mandalay". Miss DeLora Johnson John-son was also presented in two numbers. "This Is Worth Fighting Fight-ing For", and "It Takes A Little Rain With the Sunshine". Mr. Bowler asked that he be contracted during the week with special request numbers for next Sunday evening's sing. The program pro-gram for last Sunday evening concluded with the audience joining in "The Star-Spangled Banner". |
