Show Annual B.-P. W. Dinner Held In D. U. P. Building Here The B.-P. W. annual chicken dinner din-ner usually held at ,'ew Harmony had a home setting this year at the D. U. P. building. Plans to dine on the lawns were disbanded because of the early evening showers, but the East ward Relief Re-lief Society women did a fine job in serving the meal in the recreation recre-ation hall of the building. Plenty of chicken and all the trimmings that make up a dinner, were disposed dis-posed of by the 41 members and guests who attended. Guests coming from out of town, included a past officer, Miss La-Vera La-Vera McArthur, now an executive officer of the Sugarhouse B.-P. W. club; Miss Margaret Jones of Cedar City; Mrs. Charles H. Anderson, An-derson, Boise, Ida., and Mrs. Andrew An-drew Schmutz of New Harmony. Five guests who are to be members mem-bers came from Hurricane; Miss Luetta Imlay, Mrs. Walter Workman, Work-man, Elaine Sandberg, Barbara Hirschi and Mrs. Emil J. Graff. Following the dinner, Miss McArthur Mc-Arthur entertained with a film reel of the 1942 Covered Wagon Days parade in Salt Lake City, presenting especially the highlight pictures of the Queen, Miss Cecile Schmutz, and her retinue along with some of the large crowds who followed the parade. Community singing lead by Mrs. Mae A. Pace and Mrs. Charles H. Anderson and several impromptu im-promptu numbers completed the evening's p'rogram. |
