Show NEW HARMONY Mrs. O. Hammond Mrs. L. Mathis Reporters Mr. and Mrs. Henry Pace and John Prince of Price, are here visiting relatives and friends. Miss Phyllis Naegle accompanied accom-panied by her grandmother, Mrs. Susan A. Pace, left Saturday for Springerville, Ariz., where Mrs. Pace will visit a sister, Mrs. Luanda Lu-anda Brown, whom she has not seen for 50 years. From there they will go by way of New Mexico and Colorado into northern Utah. At Ogden, they will spend several days with Mrs. Pace's daughters, Mrs. Minnie Macfarlane and Mrs. Merl Olsen and a son, Clark B. Pace. George H. Lytle and Eric Snow of St. George were in town Sunday. Sun-day. Mr. and Mrs. Leo Hall of Ursine, Ur-sine, Nev., are visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Hall. Miss Jeannine Harris of St. George was the guest of Miss Marilyn Mathis this last week. Mr. and Mrs. Grant Condie of Cedar City were in town Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Pace received re-ceived word that a baby boy was born Thursday in the Iron county hospital to their daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Al-bert Harrison of Pinto. Mr. and Mrs. Reese Davis and Jerrold Pierce have returned from Salt Lake City, where they have been visiting. Lester Iverson was taken to the Iron county hospital Wednesday for medical treatment. It was found necessary to remove his left eye. Mr. Iverson ran a sliver in his eye several weeks ago, and it was feared the other eye was becoming affected. Mr. and Mrs. Andrew G. Schmutz and family left Saturday Satur-day for Salt Lake City, where they will attend the Covered Wagon Days celebration. They will be special guests at the celebration cele-bration at which their daughter, Cecile is to be crowned queen. David Forshay of Ogden vis ited here Monday with his uncle, M. O. Woolsey and his cousin, Melissa Hammond. Mr. and Mr. Lynn Kelsey of Salt Lake City visited Tuesday with Mrs. Eliza Kelsey. Albert Stratton of St. George was transacting business here this week. Will Owens of Panguitch was a visitor one day this week at the home of Saddie I. Grant. The D. U. P. meeting was held Thursday at the home of Mrs. Melissa Hammond with Mrs. Hammond and Mrs. Janette Woolsey Wool-sey entertaining. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Clark of New Castle spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Ashby W. Pace. |
