Show MESQUITE, Nev. Sirs. Daisy L. Reber Reporter Miss Mary Lou Leavitt has returned re-turned home from Reno, where she has been for the past three months. An operation was performed per-formed on her feet and she has been in the hospital since, under the doctor's care. Mrs. Stephen Porter has returned re-turned home from the Vir-Moa hospital with her infant daughter. Mr. and Mrs. John Bauer of Cedar City visited here Sunday. A dance was held Saturday evening eve-ning on the tennis court. The 24th of July committee reports re-ports a full day of entertainment. The kiddies will have a miniature parade after which will be held a public meeting. Sports will be carried on in the afternoon for all, and a dance will be held at ! night. Mr. and Mrs. George Bowler were the speakers in our Sacrament Sacra-ment meeting on Sunday. They have returned home to stay, after spending two years in Hawthorne. While there, Mr. Bowler acted as Presiding Elder over the Hawthorne Haw-thorne branch and reports an increase in-crease of membership from seventy sev-enty to over two hundred. Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Leavitt have received word of the birth of a daughter to Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Shaner of Ohio. She was former Miss Lucina Leavitt. Mrs. Delia Johnson was hostess host-ess to the Literary club on last Thursday afternoon. The cattlemen spent several days last week checking on their cattle after the forest fire that burned so long. |
