Show ENTERPRISE Airs. Theresa Huntsman Reporter Grvin Terry, son of Mr. and Mrs. F. D. Terry returned home from the southern .states L. D. S. mission mis-sion on the 13th. He had been in the mission field for 25 months. Monday niyht a welcome home party was given him in the gymnasium. gym-nasium. A large crowd attended the party and a good program of dancing and refreshments were enjoyed. Two of our soldiers are home on furlough, William Hunt and Elburn Sagers from Fort Scott, Calif. Mr. Hunt has been in the service for 8 months and seems glad to be doing his bit to help win the war. Mr. Sagers has been in the hospital for over a month with pneumonia and is home to recuperate. re-cuperate. Mr. and Mrs. Orlis Alger and family of Oxnard, Calif., are here for a week's visit with their respective res-pective families, John Z. Alger and Mrs. Julia Fish. The men folk are enjoying themselves at the reservoirs fishing while the women visit. A wedding shower honoring Genevieve Staheli was given to a large group of her friends Tuesday. Tues-day. The usual good time with lots of presents for the bride was enjoyed. Miss Staheli will leave shortly for Salt Lake City, where She will become the bride of Irwin Farnsworth as soon as the Salt Lake Temple opens. Mrs. Marita Judkins is visiting hero for a few weeks with her. grandmother, Mrs. Jane Holt, and other relatives. A shower was given for Mrs. Duward Terry on Thursday. This was for the purpose of replacing some of the articles lost in the fire. Groups of women have also met and quilted quilts for Mrs. Terry. LeRoy Staheli and May Pate of this place were united in wedlock wed-lock in the St. George Temple, July 16th. The bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Amos F. Terry accompanied ac-companied them to St. George to witness the ceremony. Mary Tait is visiting in Hiko, Nev., with her sister. |
