Show Public Meeting Called To Discuss Dixie's Doe Deer Hunt Resolutions To Be Formed lo Be Sent To Big Game Board At Their Meet A public meeting to discuss the mce conditions on the Dixie National Na-tional forest and to formulate a resolution regarding the number of doe deer that it is thought advisable to remove from the range this year will be held July 25th in the Washington county courthouse, it was announced on Wednesday by Lawrence Wads-worth, Wads-worth, president of the county Wild Life Federation. This meeting meet-ing is scheduled for 8 p. m.' Information relative to the count which was taken this year will be discussed, with all sportsmen sports-men and others who are interested inter-ested in the wild life welfare of this county, are invited to be present. In commenting on the survey which was made this year, Albert Al-bert Albertson, Dixie forest supervisor super-visor has the following to say: "During the trip considerable discussion was carried on as to the number of doe deer that should be removed from the Dixie division this year, but due to the variations in opinions no definite conclusions were reached. It was finally agreed that before the matter is presented to a public meeting for a final vote that a committee consisting of three stockmen, three sportsmen, three State Game officials and three forest officers should meet and decide de-cide on a definite recommendation to present to the public meeting." The above meeting is scheduled to be held in St. George on Saturday Sat-urday evening ahead of the public meeting. Whether the sportsmen will be in accord with the recommendation recommenda-tion of this committee is not known. Because of a thorough need for study of this problem, all sportsmen are urged to be present at the public meeting Saturday Sat-urday night. |
