Show Bunkemlle, Nev. Mrs. Mary H. Leavitt Reporter A CCC camp is here again to help get the water into Bunker-ville Bunker-ville and Mesquite. One hundred men came in over the week-end. Fifty men will work here and fifty at Mesquite. Rulon Robinson came home last night from Las Vegas hospital. He is in a cast to keep his back in place until it is better, which will require five or six. weeks. His mother accompanied him home. Stake conference was held in Las Vegas last Sunday. Apostle Melvin J. Ballard was in attendance. attend-ance. It was reported the largest conference since the stake was organized .Over six hundred people were in attendance at the morning morn-ing meeting. They have a beautiful beauti-ful new chapel. Plate lunches were served to everyone in the basement base-ment of the building. They were a great credit to the Relief Society officers who had it in charge. A birthday party was given in honor of Mrs. Thomas H. Adams at her home last Wednesday. Most all of her children were present. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Huntsman and Ernest Pulsipher of St George spent the week-end here. D. H. Leavitt and the Adams brothers returned from the cattle drive last week. They were gone five days and found the cattle in a serious condition. Seventeen head were in the mud and they saved them all except six head. They don't have any idea how many went down in the flood. They waded in water over their knees most of the time and found it plenty cold and disagreeable. |
