Show QUEEN CONTEST Salt Lake City to officially invite Governor Henry H. Blood to be present at the celebration. In addition ad-dition to this they will each be presented with a dress and a float will be provided for them to ride in honor in the parade. At the start of the dance Toni Watson had 3,712 votes; Mary Sullivan, 1751; Irene Cox, 1300;. Helen Seegmiller, 928; Mary And-rns And-rns 844; and Ada Hafen 706. During the dance Miss Watson's backers continued to force her count op. The others held back and came in with a final rush just before the contest ended. The money received by the committee in' the voting is to be turned over to the general committee com-mittee .states William Mtosley, chairman, with the request that the general committee allot the amount of money that it feels needed to pay the expenses of the Queen and her attendants. The Queen committee is composed com-posed -of the following members: William Mosley, chairman; Nan Watson, Helen Reichman, Belle Prince, E. W. Simmons, Maurice Miles and Vernon Worthen. A total of $429.09 was received re-ceived by the committee on the contest. |
