Show Miss Naomi Conger Wins F.F.A. Popularity Contest HURRICANE, Utah Miss Naomi Conger, daughter of David Conger, representing the first year class at the Hurricane high school, won the popularity contest con-test sponsored by the F.F.A. chapter at the local high school last Saturday night and was crowned queen at the annual F.F.A. Harvest Ball held in the high school auditorium. Elton Stout, chapter president, opened the magic door that concealed the throne that had been erected for 1 Hurricane high's most popular girl 'he also made the presentation speech and placed the crown on Miss Conger's head. She also received $2.50 cash prize for her class because of its i success in electing a candidate, j Attendants were Miss Marie jBeatty, of Toquerville and Miss LaVerd Wright and Miss Enid i Bradshaw of Hurricane, who were ! escorted by Elmer Cox, Warren j Church and Bill Smith. The throne was designed and decorated by Lowell Terry and his committee. Carlin Hinton and Dean -Wallace made the crown which was studded with gilded : kernels of corn. R. D.
