Show Enterprise Mrs. Theresa Huntsman Reporter The Daughters of the Pioneers held their regular monthly meeting meet-ing in the Relief Society house Friday. The following program was given. Song by group; song, "As I Sat Upon My Dear Mother's Knee", Lillian H. Fackerell; clippings clip-pings read by Zennetta Adams; lesson "The Other Mother", by Theresa C. Huntsman; song, "Mother", Maribah Holt; "Life History of Mary Potterell by Leola Terry. There were twenty-two persons per-sons present and refreshments were served by Capt. Gertrude Lund and 1st Vice-capt. Maubah Holt and 2nd Vice-cpt. Doris Barber. Bar-ber. Mr. and Mrs. Karl Twitchell j have gone to California where Mr. Twitchell has employment. I The Lions club were guests of I the Enterprise Civics club on Fri-jday. Fri-jday. They brought with them a minstrel show consisting of the ' members of the club. The show iwas highly entertaining and amus-! amus-! ing. A dance was enjoyed after the show. Mr. and Mrs. Amos F. Terry have returned from Salt Lake City where they were called on account of the serious illness of their son-in-law, John Pate. Mr. Pate died before they reached Salt Lake City. They remained for the funeral. funer-al. The Overton basketball team met the Enterprise team Saturday night in the Enterprise gym. Enterprise En-terprise won with a score of 28 to 36. This is the third victory for Enterprise this season out of three games played. Turkey picking is in full swing and the turkey market seems good the weather has been very cold for picking but regardless of this everybody seems anxious to help pick and the work is progressing nicely. Mrs. Elmer Hunt and daughter, Ollie have gone to Salt Lake City to have the latter's foot operated on. |
