Show j B.A.C. Has New Men's I Dormitory Which 1 Will House Sixteen Men j CEDAR CITY, Utah A dormi- tory, which will house 16 boys and ; a supervisor, has just been completed com-pleted by the building trades class j of the Branch Agriculture college under the direction of C. B. Cooley, instructor. This is the first build-i build-i ing of its kind in the state. Other 1 similar buildings are in use at the j University of Maine and the Uni-; Uni-; versify of Idaho, Southern Branch, i Henry Oberhansley, director, announces an-nounces that the construction of nine more units will be started as soon as school commences in September. This will give employment employ-ment to about 50 students in trades courses and provide living quarters for about 36 additional boys next year. This project has been completed at a cost of approximately 55,000 and represents between 3,000 and 4,000 student working hours. All of the architectual plans and designs de-signs were made by Mr. Cooley and eight members of the class. The dormitory which has just been finished was made possible through the cooperation of the State Department of Vocational Education which is directed by Howard B. Gunderson, former B.A.C. instructor. |
