Show Red Cross Offers Advanced Course In First Aid Work Swimming Campaign Planned For June; Three Libraries To Be Placed In Towns Of County Beginning Monday, April 19 at 7-30 p. m-, there will be an advanced ad-vanced course in Red Cross first-aid first-aid work will be given to those eligible. It will be given under the direction of Dr. L. W. McGregor Mc-Gregor who will be assisted by j Ralph Wilkins, first-aid instructor instruc-tor in the American Red Cross. To be eligible for this work students must have passed their standard course examination. The course of study calls for ten hours in instruction in order that a student stu-dent may receive an Advanced Certificate. Swimming Campaign A Life-saving and Swimming campaign will be sponsored by the Washington chapter of the American Red Cross on June 14 to 19 inclusive, according to H. L. Reid, chairman. I Those who have had experience with this type of instruction de-! de-! clare that it is of great value to ! those who participate. The course I js made available to all ages and ; groups with time being allotted to each. A capable instructor will be brought here who will give an intensive course to those interested. in-terested. For sometime local Red Cross officers have felt the need of this service and so are making it available to local people. Red Cross library ; Three Red Cross libraries are being secured by the county chap-! chap-! ter. These will be dstributed in ' the county at the towns where the books are not available. It Inludes a, twelve-volume Richard's Encyclopaedia and the following 'i books: r.
