Show II. W. BARD WELL LAID TO REST AT HURRICANE, TUES. HURRICANE, Utah. Funeral services for Howard White Bard-well Bard-well wer held here Tuesday, April 13 at 3 p. m., in the Hur-r Hur-r i c a n e elementary auditorium. Bishop Frank, R e b e r presided. Death occurred on Friday, April 9 at the Walker mine, Springs Garden, Colorado. His death was the result of infection which set in following an injury to his arm which was caught in a crushing mill. Speakers at the service included in-cluded George L. Whitney, Joseph Jos-eph W. Webb and Caudius Hirs-chi. Hirs-chi. Musical numbers were rendered rend-ered by Mrs. Grant Wright and Mrs. Gene Wadsworth, vocal duet; trumpet solo, Lafayette Staheli; vocal solo, Mrs. Dean Clark and a violin quartette comprised of Owen Bergener, Aleath Dalton, Denise Dalton and Barbara Twee-die. Twee-die. Mr. Bardwell was born February Febru-ary 17, 1898 In Aspen, Colorao. He resided in Aspen until 1908 when his parents moved to Sa.lt Lake City. His education was received in the Salt Lake schools. He was a graduate grad-uate of East side high and Westminster West-minster college. M r . Bardwell was a World War veteran having served over seas for seven months with the 145th Field Artillery. He was married in 1930 at Hurricane to Miss June Wright, who survives him. Following their marriage they lived at Cedar City and Hurricane. He was quiet, conscientious and a hard worker. Besides his wife he is survived by two children, Jimmie, 6 and Richard, 4 years old. Two sisters and three brothers also survive him, they are as follows: Mrs. Morris Stephenson, Los Angeles. California; Miss Orra Bardwell, Salt Lake City; Carlos Bardwell, Tooele, Utah; W. A. Bardwell, Los Angeles and D. C. Bardwell, Syracuse, New York. His parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. F. Bardwell of Salt Lake City are also living and were present at the funeral services. |
