Show ; Citizens Asked To J Cooperate With I Fire Depatment I ;"eed for Education of Public Pub-lic Stressed to Alleviate Accidents Ac-cidents and Speed the Work By BERT MILNE Monday, April 12, the local fire department held their semimonthly semi-monthly meeting at the Standard Stand-ard cafe. This organization is proving to be of vital importance to our city. Due to the inexperience inexperi-ence of our members our progress has been slow but under the direction di-rection of Fire Chief Bryan Lund the organization is growing and a few more months will find us schooled and experienced in our work as fire men. In order that the citizens of 'St. George have full benefit and i protection of the fire department jand its work, they too must be schooled and trained in their part of it. Our experience has proven i that people of St. George have been thoughtless and negligent in giving the fire department the right-of-way. Dangerous hazards are present during a fire, and unless the people stand by and give the fire department the right-of-way ot.ious trouble might result, both to loss of life and property.
