Show Washington Mrs. Edward Nisson Reporter Evan Cooper and Cleone Sproul are visiting in Salt Lake City for a week or ten days. Murray Averett and son, Lynn and Jack left Sunday evening for Los Angeles with a truck load of dressed turkeys. Other growers are dressing the remainder of their birds left from Thanksgiving market. There will be about 1,500 sold from around here. A dance was held here in the gym Saturday night sponsored by members of the American Legion. A large crowd from St. George attended and a good time was reported. re-ported. Gwendolyn, the two year old daughter Of Mr. and Mrs. Denzel Sproul, fell Friday afternoon striking strik-ing her head on a cupboard and making a deep cut on her forehead. She was taken to the hospital where several stitches were required re-quired to close the wound. The M.I.A. held their conjoint meeting Sunday evening. An excellent ex-cellent program consisting of Christmas songs, readings and musical numbers was given. Lawrence Hall, who recently underwent a serious operation at Soda Springs, Idaho, returned home Saturday and after visiting a short time here with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Hall, left for Escalante to join his family. Mrs. Ann Nisson entertained members of the I.O.M. club at her home Thursday afternoon. The Primary officers held a dance Thursday evening for the children of the primary age. Wednesday Wed-nesday evening a W.P.A. dance was held in the gym. |
