OCR Text	Show 1 Dixie Ag. Department Installs New Equipment An electric brooder and a power feed mixer has been purchased for the Agricultural department under the direction of P. D. Spilsbury, Agricultural instructor at the Dixie Junior College for the feeding feed-ing and brooding of baby chicks and turkey poults. The Agricultural department will experiment with a number of different rations of feed, these feeds will be mixed at the college. A room has been constructed in the north end of the Mechanic Arts building for this purpose. The electric brooder has a capacity capa-city of six hundred chicks or four hundred poults. This will be a winter project for the Agriculture classes for the purpose of studying the possibilities of both turkeys and chickens for egg production in this section.
