Show Plans Formulated For Annual Easter Fete In Zion Park Supt. P. P. Patraw Named As Permanent Chairman; New Site Selected For Program Supt. P. P. Patraw was named chairman of the general Easter committee, at a meeting of representatives rep-resentatives from southern Utah, held at the Zion's National Park, Saturday. At this meeting plans were formulated for the fourth annual Easter Pageant to be held at the Park next April. A new and permanent site for the Easter services was selected, and chairmen for the various committees com-mittees were appointed. Members of the committees will be made up of representatives named by the surrounding stakes of the L.D.S. Church and other organizations that are interested. The pageant depicting Christ's passion during the crucifixion and resurrection, which was given last year, will again be presented. It will be under ' the direction of Grant H. Redford, who is the author. The music department of the Dixie junior college will furish a preliminary program of sacred music. The Branch Agricultural college symphony orchestra will furnish orchestration. Those present at the meeting Saturday and the organizations represented were: B. Glen Smith, Dixie college; Dr. D. Elden Beck and Dilworth Snow, St. George chamber of commerce; Pres. William Wil-liam R. Palmer and W. Arthur Jones, Parowan L.D.S. stake; Harry E. Peterson and Clinton Milne, Cedary City chamber of commerce; William P. Manning and Grant H. Redford, Branch Agriculture college and D. C. Dix, Cedar City junior chamber of commerce. Mr. Patraw and C. C. Presnall represented the National Park Service. |
