' j The dirigible Hmdenburg's 1937 maiden voyage which ended in flaming flam-ing disaster when the airship exploded ex-ploded just before landing at Lakehurst, Lake-hurst, N. J., marked the first time that Capt. Max Pruss commanded the sky liner on a flight from Germany Ger-many to the United States. Last year he was a subordinate officer when Capt. Ernst A. Lehmann and Dr. Hugo Eckener, the veteran Zeppelin Zep-pelin expert, handled the ship on her regular passenger schedule. He was schooled in Zeppelin work for a quarter of a centu-y. |
