Show St. George Stake Aaronic Priesthood to Celebrate Anniversary St. George stake Aaronic Priesthood Priest-hood anniversary day will be celebrated cele-brated Saturday afternoon and evening at Big Rock Flat, west of Santa Clara. All wards of the stake are invited to participate, B. Glen Smith, committee chairman chair-man announced today. Organized recreation will be conducted from 3 to 7 under the direction of Leland Hafen of the Dixie college and his recreational leadership class. Supper will be in order from 7 until 8. Each group is to plan and prepare its own supper. sup-per. Wood will be available for those who desire to cook. A special Baptism service will be conducted at 8, with Bishop A. K. Hafen of the East ward in charge. This will commenmorate the baptism of Oliver Cowdery, 108 years ago. The Santa Clara creek will represent the Susquehanna Susque-hanna river, where that baptism was performed. Immediately after the services a special campfire program will be given, depicting interesting events in the early days of the L. D. S. Church, and particularly the life of Oliver Cowdery. Special musical musi-cal numbers, as well as community commun-ity singing will be enjoyed. Bishop E. R. Sundav afternoon, the various wards of the stake will hold religious re-ligious services commemorating the restoration of the Aaronic Priesthood. |
