Show News of the County Seat Mr. and Mrs. Carus Lortz returned re-turned Wednesday from Salt Lake City where he has been attending attend-ing business college. Mr. and Mrs. Spencer Snow and Miss Lena Nelson spent Thanksgiving holidays with relatives rela-tives in Salt Lake City. Howard Whitehead, Elbert Nelson Nel-son and Melvin Schmutz who are attending the University of Utah at Salt Lake City were visiting here over Thanksgiving. Mrs. Darrell Bracken and Mrs. Nell Malcus of Angels Camp, California have returned home after visiting with Mrs. Bracken's parents, Mr. and Mrs. James Mc-Arthur Mc-Arthur here and with Mrs. Malcus' Mal-cus' parents, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Ar-thur Bracken at Central. Mrs. Lavina Allen arrived here i last Wednesday from P'anguitch to resume her work as an ordinance ordi-nance worker in the St. George Temple after spending several months at Panguitch and in Wyoming Wy-oming with one of her brothers who was seriously ill. She was accompanied to St. George bv Mr. and Mrs. Phil Smith and son who spent the holiday season sea-son visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Pratt Miles. A candy pull was enjoyed at the home of Miss Ruth Cottam Saturday evening b y Margaret Little, Beth Bringhurst, Ula Lee, Helen Bradshaw, Fawn Heaton, Ida Wallis and Lillian von Ryd-man. Ryd-man. Mrs. Charles Barnum and son Charles Eldon returned to their home at Gunlock last Wednesday evening. Charles who has been seriously ill here for several weeks is still confined to his bed. Wallace Haycock, Karl Engle-sead, Engle-sead, Kay Ipson and William Worthen of Panguitch who are attending the Dixie College here this winter spent the holiday season with their parents. Mrs, Ethel Badham returned to her home at Salt Lake City on Saturday after spending three weeks with her daughter, Mrs. Nathaniel Ashby. Rudolph Lortz was honored at a birthday party at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Bert Bradshaw, Saturday evening. Guests included, includ-ed, Misses Geraldine Seegmiller, D e 1 m a Miller, Blanche Baker, Afton Snow, Mary Ellen Gentry, Mr. and Mrs. Carus Lortz, Eugene Wells, Dee J u d d , Howard Schmutz, Ray Reed, Anthony Pace, and Schuyler Everett. Mrs. Belle Kemp of Ogden spent Thanksgiving with her sister, sis-ter, Mrs. Fidelia Baker here and will visit for a short time before going on to Los Angeles, California Calif-ornia for the Christmas holidays. Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Snow of Salt Lake City were visiting at the home of Mrs. Jane Bleak on Tuesday. ' Mrs. Xoimau Johnson and son, Ralph returned to Prove on Sunday Sun-day after a visit with her parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. Alma A. Nelson Nel-son and other relatives here. Mr. and Mrs. Pratt Miles entertained en-tertained in honor of her mother, Mrs. Lavina Allen and Mr. and Mis. Phil Smith at their home on Saturday evening. Visiting was enjoyed and several musical numbers were given. Delicious refreshments were served to Mr. end Mrs. Lester Leavitt, Mr. and Mrs. Ellis Everett, Mr. and Mrs. Lenzi Tobler of Washington, Mrs. Allen, Mrs. Bessie Johnson, and I Miss Lucile Gates. Mrs. Laron Andrus entertained the pinochle club at her home last Friday evening. High score prize was awarded Mrs. George Pace and refreshments were served serv-ed to Mrs. Nathaniel Ashby, Mrs. Stanley Dixon, Mrs. A. W. McGregor, Mc-Gregor, Mrs. Mervin Reber, Mrs. M. O. Hutchings, Mrs. Bert Milne, and Mrs. Pace. Mrs. Mattie Empey and daughters daugh-ters Ella and Beth, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Hutchings and son, and Mrs. Vera Mitchell were visiting relatives and friends in Beaver over Thanksgiving. Don Wadsworth who recently returned from a mission to New Zealand and is attending the B. Y. TJ, this winter was visiting With relatives and friends here over Thanksgiving holidays. Thomas Gardner and daughter, Miss Ada and son, Cummings returned re-turned to their home at Los Angeles An-geles on Monday after a ten-day's ten-day's visit with relatives and friends here. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Seegmiller, Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Dalton, and Mr. and Mrs. Antone Prince entertained en-tertained at a pot luck supper at the Prince home on Saturday evening.
