Show Mrs. Julius Dally of Kanab is I spending a faw weeks here with I her son, Julius who was injured j recently in a ball game. He is getting along nicely but is still confined to his bed. It will be several days before he will be able to get about on crutches. Call 167. -.'f Mrs. Norman Johnson and son, Ralph left on Monday for their home at Rock Springs, Wyoming after a three weeks' visit at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Alma Nelson. The fourth quorum of elders in the South ward are sponsoring a series of "cottage meetings" to be held throughout the winter in different homes in the ward. The first one was held at the home of Victor iSullivan last Sunday evening. Miss Irene Riding was the guest of honor at a shower given by the local telphoue operators at the Arrowhead Hotel on Thursday evening. ev-ening. Many useful and appropriate appro-priate gifts were received. Hostesses Host-esses were Misses Alice Bentley. Irene Cox, Ruth Cottam, Hazel Leavitt and Fawn Heaton. Out of town guests were Cedar City operators, Misses Jettie Bulloch, Ella Corry and Berneice Neilson. Miss Riding has been an operator at the local office the past six years. Mr. and Mrs. Albert Baxter and son left Monday for Provo where Mr. Baxter will attend the Brig-ham Brig-ham Young university. |
