Show Dixie Splits Series With Weber in Week End Tilts With Dixie and Weber splitting their two-game series and Snow winning both of their games from Westminister, Snow held a stronger strong-er grip on first place position in the Junior College race. B. A. C. drew a by over the week-end. Weber We-ber won the first night by the score 32 to 28 and Dixie took the second game 36 to 31. Weber captured the first game when they were able to withstand a last quarter rally staged by Dixie. Dix-ie. They went into the last quarter quar-ter leading by 27 to 19 with the game almost over Dixie was only trailing by 2 points. Dixie missed opportunities to score and Weber made a field goal to pull away with a four point lead as the gun went off. Watts, for Weber, was high scorer with 14 points. Wade, for Dixie, was high with 12. Hunt, Dixie, Miller and Jacobson, Weber scored 6 points each. Sullivan had four for Dixie. Saturday Night Saturday night Weber jumped into the lead which they held at the quarter, 11 to 9. Dixie passed them with 15 to 13 in the second quarter and the half ended 21 to 20 for Dixie. The third quarter was a nip and tuck affair with Dixie a point or two ahead but the quarter ended with the score tied 28 all. Going into the final quarter Dixie staged a rally that gave them a 7 point lead at one time but Weber put on a spurt that brought them up to the final score of 36 to 31 for Dixie. Wade went on a scoring spree to ring up 16 points, 4 more than Watts 'for Weber. For the two nights, this gives Wade a 2 point lead. Hoyt was second high man for Dixie with 8 while Miller and Snow garnered 6 each for Weber. Heaton was next with 4. Splendid all-around team play was the big factor in the win over Weber.
