Show I Hurricane ! Miss Milda Lsom Reporter ! Mr. and Mrs. Paul Thurston left , last Sunday, June 20 for Washington, Wash-ington, D. C, on a business trip. Mr, and Mr. J. W. Webb re-1 re-1 turned recently from a three-week's three-week's tour of Washington, D. C, and the eastern states. Mr. and Mrs. Eugene W'ads-i W'ads-i worth and daughter spent the j week-end at Panaca visiting with relatives. Miss Glenna Wood, who has been away to school at the B. Y. U. for the past year is now home for a short time. Mrs. Alice Campbell, who has been quite ill for some time is now feeling a little better, but she is still in a weakened condition. Mrs. Myrtle Davis has returned after having spent the past few weeks visiting with her daughter, Mrs. Orba Andreason of Tremon-ton. Tremon-ton. Utah. The Hurricane South ward relief society held a Mother's and Daughter's Daugh-ter's Day program and party Tuesday, Tues-day, June 22. There were a number num-ber of special guests present. Mrs. Sophia Terry and her father-in-law of Alpine are visiting at the home of Mrs. Terry's mother, moth-er, Mrs. Ann Langston. Mrs. June Bardwell is now employed em-ployed at the Hurricane postoffice as clerk. Anson B. Call, county agricultural agricul-tural agent, took a group of girls, who were representing different 4-H clubs in the various towns to Logan to a 4-H club convention. Miss Maud Wood accompanied him; she served as the representative represen-tative from Hurricane. Wayne Hinton and Carlon Hin-ton Hin-ton left last Sunday, June 20 for Washington, D. C, where they will attend the National Boy Scout Jamboree. They will spend the remainder re-mainder of three weeks visiting a few large cities and points of interest inter-est in the eastern states. Miss Milda lsom is employed at the Public Library. Union meeting was held at Springdale this month. A good percentage of the Hurricane townspeople towns-people attended. |
