The prime object of Doctor Morns' visit was to acquaint himself with the chapel and its surroundings. He will, in the near future, send plans for its landscaping. The Hurricane high school opera. "An Old Spanish Custom", will be presented Monday and Tuesday, March 20 and 21. The first performance is for students and the one on Tuesday evening for parents. Both parents and students are to be admitted on their activity cards. A male chorus from the University Univer-sity of Utah will make an appearance ap-pearance here March 22 at the high school auditorium, at 4 p.m. Mrs. Lelwin Wilkinson, who is teaching school at Kanarraville, spent the week-end here with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Spendlove. Mrs. Ruth Hafen, Mrs. Marion Snow, Mrs. Althea Nelson. Mrs. Anne Pace and Mrs. Erma Thomas of the St. George chapter of the Alice Louise Reynolds club, met Monday with Mrs. Erma Stevens, chairman of the entertainment committee and her aides, Mrs. Audrey Stevens, Mrs. Grace Staheli and Mrs. La Verna Graff, at the home of Mrs. Hazel Faw-son, Faw-son, president of the local chapter, where plans were formulated for the annual birthday dinner honoring honor-ing the late Miss Reynolds. The date for the party was tentatively set for April 12 at Hurricane. Mrs. Maude Hartley entered the Iron county hospital Friday for surgery. She is reported to be making favorable progress. Mrs. Hazel Fawson was hostess Wednesday evening to the card club at her home. Dinner was served to 16 guests. The time was spent playing Five Hundred. garet Nuttall and Mrs. Grace Staheli. . Dr. and Mrs. W. W. Miles and son, Wyatt, of Panguitch, called at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Karl Larson on Friday. Dr. Miles, who has been practicing medicine in ! Garfield county the past year, reports re-ports himself as satisfactorily located. Mr and Mrs. T. B. Lawrence of Los Angeles are spending the !week at the Alma Wright home. !Mrs Lawrence, who is a daughter daugh-ter of Mr. and Mrs. Wright, is jwell remembered as Miss Velma I Wright bv her many friends in : Hurricane. Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence spend most of their time touring ! the scenic wonders of the United I States. Leo K. Homer and Miss Norene I Lemon, stake M Men and Gleaner leaders, supervised the attendance of more than 50 M Men and Gleaner Girls from Zion Park stake at the district meet held for them at Cedar City Friday and Saturday. A floor show, under the direction of Miss Ruth Wall, was part of the stake's contribution contribu-tion to the affair. The young people, who enjoyed the meet, reported that they were graciously gracious-ly housed and cared for by the Cedar City people. Most of the Hurricane young folks were conveyed con-veyed to and from the conference in Bp. Ira H. Bradshaw's bus. Glen Williams, stake superintendent superin-tendent of Y.M.M.I.A. and wife, attended the district M Men and on Saturday.
