Show St. George CCC Camp Enrollees Vernon Henderson, Ben Bishop, John Sizemore and Burley Combs returned to the camp after a year's detached service with the grazing office in Phoenix. This group was forced to leave the Corps because of having had two years of previous service and will return home with the contingent leaving for Kentucky next week. Fifty-one members left for Cedar City via buses on Tuesday morning. The group joined a train at that point and will be transported to Fort Benjamin Harrison, Indiana for discharge. E. W. Samuels, inspector for the division of grazing, spent the latter part of last week inspecting work activities at St. George and Wolf Hole camps. Captain K. K. Tatom, district executive officer of the Fort Douglas CCC, inspected the bt. George camp on Tuesday afternoon. after-noon. Several changes in important camp overhead positions were made last 'week because of the termination of service of en-rolees en-rolees holding them. William Shepherd turned over the mess steward job to Alex Bryski, Don Rover replaced James Poole as company clerk and Albert Mac-Donald Mac-Donald takes over Lee Gayheart s job as convoy driver. The company plans to stage another of its popular dances m the Elementary school gym next Wednesday night, March 22. The south ward orchestra will furnish the swing and we invite everyone in St. George to come out and Pnjoy an evening of fun and frolic. . The division of grazing is planning plan-ning on a concentrated attack-on attack-on a new road from Wolf Hole to Black Rock Springs as soon as Mr. Biork and the surveying crew complete the necessary location lo-cation work. Several new trucks have arrived and an additonal tractor is on the way and the ! dirt will soon be flying. |
