Show Local News Items . . . Postmaster and Mrs. William Brooks and children motored to Bunkerville to spend Sunday visiting Mrs. Brooks, parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Leavitt. Mrs. Bertha McGregor returned Monday night from San Francisco where she spent the holiday season sea-son with Doctor and Mrs. Mar McGregor. Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Cox left last Friday night for Phoenix, Ariz, on a business and pleasure trip. Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Pace and small daughter have returned to their home in Tuscon, Ariz, after spending the holiday season here with relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Wesley A. Nelson entertained on New Years eve celebrating their eleventh wedding anniversary. Twelve guests attended. at-tended. Miss Linna Snow came home from Salt Lake City Saturday where she has been for medical attention for the past week. Mr. and Mrs. Eric Snow left Sunday morning for Los Angeles. They planned to attend the Rose Parade and visit with relatives jn Southern California over New Year's. They are expected back, today. Miss Helen Seaman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Seaman of this city, and majoring at the B.Y.U. in physical education and journalism, is to be honored on her return to Provo, after spending spend-ing the holidays here. Letters received re-ceived by her during the vacation week advised her that she had been selected as one of the women wo-men of the "Y" to become a member of the American association associa-tion of women athletes. The East Ward D.U.P. will meet Thursday afternoon, Jan. 12, at 2:30 p.m. at the home of Mrs. Amber Schmutz. Mr. and Mrs. Fenton Gray left Tuesday for Logan where they will make their home and continue con-tinue school. The couple stopped over here following a honeymoon trip to Berkeley, where they visited visit-ed Mrs. G. A. Carpenter, Mrs. Gray's sister, and then down to Los Angeles and Pasadena, where they viewed the Rose Parade. |
