Show COUNTY ORDINANCE AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION" EIGHT, OF AN ORDINANCE OR-DINANCE ENTITLED "AN ORDINANCE OR-DINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE LICENSING OF THE SALE OF LIGHT BEER AT RETAIL IN CONTAINERS AND ON DRAFT, FIXING THE FEES THEREFORE, REGULATING THE SAME AND PROVIDING PENALTIES FOR THE VIOLATION VIOLA-TION THEREOF AND REPEALING REPEAL-ING ALL ORDINANCES IN CONFLICT HEREWITH", Passed on May 19, 1937. The board of County Commissioners Commis-sioners of the County of Washington Wash-ington ordains as follows: Section 1. Section Eight of an Ordinance entitled, "An Ordinance Ordin-ance Providing for the Licensing of the Sale of Light Beer at Retail Re-tail in Containers and on Draft Fixing the Fees Therefore, Regulating Regu-lating the Same and Providing Penalties for the violation There of and Repealing All Ordinances in Conflict Herewith", passed on May 19, 1937, is hereby amended to read as follows: Section 8. License. The applications appli-cations provided for in this chapter chap-ter shall be accompanied by the yearly fees hereinafter provided, which fees shall be deposited in the County Treasury if the license is granted and returned to the applicant if it is denied, provided however, that an applicant appli-cant may apply for a license for a half-year for one-half the yearly year-ly fees hereinafter . provided plus ten per cent of the half-yearly fee. The yearly license fees for the retailing of beer shall be as follows: fol-lows: Division 1. If less beer than an amount equal to 400 cases (24 bottles to a case) was sold by the applicant in Washington County during the previous calendar year: For Class A license $20 For Class B license S35 Division 2. If an amount of beer equal to 400 cases or more (24 bottles to a case) and less than an amount equal to 1000 such cases was sold by the applicant in Washington County during the previous calendar year: For Class A' license S40 For Class B license S70 Division 3. If the applicant was not licensed to sell beer by Washington County during the previous calendar year, or if an amount of beer equal to 1000 cases or more (24 bottles to a case) was sold by the applicant ap-plicant in Washington County during the previous calendar year: For Class A license $100 For Class B license $150 All licenses issued hereunder, if for the yearly fees above enumerated, shall expire on De-comber De-comber 31st of the year "in which the same are issued; if for a half year, they shall expire on the first of the following dates which shall occur after said license is issued, to-wit: June 30th and December 31st. Section 2. F.ffect. This ordinance ordin-ance shall take effect as provided by law. Passed by the Board of County Commissioners this 3rd day of January, 1939. GEO. H. LYTLE, Chairman.
