Theives Get Small Loot From Business Houses At least four of the shops on highway 91, St. George, were looted loot-ed in the early hours of Thursday, the Nelson Fruit Stand, Church's Beer Stand and the Cozy Barber Shop and Madsen's. Roy Nelson, sleeping in a rear room of the Nelson fruit stand heard prowlers at the large ice box in the adjoining room. Thinking Think-ing it might be his father had returned from the coast during the night, he called "Dad". Nobody answered. He looked at the clock. It was 2:45 a.m. He called again, then saw two culprits with a flashlight searching the ice box and bounded out of bed after them. The prowlers made hasty escape through the rear window, which they had entered by tearing off the screen, and fled north through the yards towards the jail. Grabbing Grab-bing his gun, Nelson fired in their direction, but without results. A complete checking up has been made, but so far there is no definite information for release, say the officers.
