Show WATCH SEED IS WARNING TO FARMERS Know the kind of seed purchased before be-fore planting was the text of a warning warn-ing issued by the state department of agriculture. Analyses made of samples of seed offered for sale show a great need for rowers insisting on having seeds properly labeled. While many dealers are complying with the law in this respect re-spect others are disregarding the regulations reg-ulations and are placing the farms in imminent danger of becoming infested with serious noxious weeds, according to Dr. F. E. Stevens, state agricultural inspector. The seed law requires that labels specify the name of seed, purity, weed seeds, noxious weed seed, germination, locality where grown and the name of the vendor. An exception is made in eed sold in bulk. |
