Show ENTERPRISE ENTERPRISE, Feb. 3. Funeral services ser-vices for Zay H. Tait were held here Friday, February 1, Bishop Terry presiding. pre-siding. Music was furnished by the choir. A solo, "Oh, My Father", was given by Leland Lamoreaux and "Not Understood" was sung by Mrs. Minetta Hunt. The speakers were Elders Jos. Jones, Alma Truman, Amos Holt and Luther Terry. There were many beautiful beau-tiful floral offerings. Interment was in the Enterprise cemetery, the grave being dedicated by Orsen Huntsman. Zay was .21 years old, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert F. Tait. He leaves to mourn his passing his mother, two sisters, Myrtle and Adrene, six brothers, broth-ers, Birt, George, Emery, Will, Orsen and Terry.. The young man was In Colorado when taken ill and his brother Orsen of Cedar City and his mother went immediately to him. His brother Emery Em-ery was in Colorado at the time. On the 24th of January he was taken tak-en to the L. D. S. hospital at Salt Lake City and died there on the 28th. His body was shipped home for burial. bur-ial. 'Mrs. Sarah Morris has received word that her daughter, Mrs. Virgie Van Ansdal had been taken to the Holy Cross hospital where she would be operated on. Mrs. Morris and another an-other daughter, Mrs. Rose Schow of Milford, went immediately to Salt Lake City. The operation was performed Saturday morning. Mr. and Mrs. S. A. Bushman went to St. George Friday. Mrs. Bushman and small son, John, will remain there for some time. We have had a steady rain for about 24 hours which settled the snow and made it very muddy. In the rabbit hunt put on recently the young men were defeated and entertained en-tertained the married men at a dance Monday night. .- Friday our basketball team and the coach, Heber Holt, went to Panaca. They defeated the team there by a score of 22 to 15. Monday night the junior and sophomore sopho-more girls played a game of basketball. basket-ball. . The, contest was close and interesting, in-teresting, 'but, the juniors were finally victorious. In the game with the married women, the final score was a tie, but in the extra five-minute period the juniors won. |
