Show WILL MAKE ECONOMIC SURVEY OF COUNTY W. W. Owens, state county agent leader of the U. A. C. extension service, serv-ice, will arrive in St. George Friday and with County Agent Walter F. Smith will make an economic survey of the county. The purpose is to determine de-termine the amount of annual income necessary annually to allow a farmer of Washington county to pay his taxes, educate his children and maintain main-tain a satisfying standard of living. When the data has been collected a conference will be called at which representative rep-resentative farmers of the county will be invited, to discuss the findings, and committees will be appointed to make recommendations regarding the future agricultural practices on the farms of the county to produce the required income. The main objective of the extension service in sponsoring these surveys is to outline programs that will produce for the farmers of Utah a more satisfying satis-fying home in which to live. A direct inivitation is extended every ev-ery farmer to cooperate in the survey. |
