Show I WASHINGTON Washington, Sept. 9. Mr. and Mrs. M. W. Adams gave a reception Thursday evening in the ward hall in honor of the marriage of their daughter, Cleone and Lafell Iverson. The young couple were married on the 4th inst. in the St. George temple. They are both well known and highly respected. The groom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. E. M. Iverson, enterprising enter-prising merchant of this place. The reception was very well attended. Quite a number of relatives and friends came over from St. George and Santa Clara to attend. The groom has recently graduated from the Dixie College and has been engaged en-gaged to teach school in La Verkin the coming winter. They both have a host of friends here who wish them happiness and prosperity. Mr. and Mrs. Levi A. Taylor and three children, Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Taylor, Mr. and Mrs. Allen, Mrs. Viola Reese and son, who have been spending a few days' here visiting relatives and friends, left Tuesday for their homes in Loa. They were the guests of Mr. Taylor's sister, Mrs. Anna T. Neilson. Levison Hancock, a former resident resi-dent of this place now residing in Uintah county, three sons and three sons-in-law spent a couple of days' here this week visiting old friends. Stake S. S. officers, Jos. K. Nich-oles Nich-oles and Miss Tillie Winsor visited Sabbath school and sacrament meeting meet-ing here Sunday. Their visit was very much enjoyed. Mrs. Levi Neilson and Mrs. Wil-ford Wil-ford Stephens and children have returned re-turned from the mountains where they have spent the past two months. Mrs. Florence Hunt and Miss Thelma Thayne arrived here Tuesday from Los Angeles, Cal., to visit their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Alex Thayne. Mrs. Frank Hartley came over from Leeds Friday to get her mother, moth-er, Mrs. H. M. Jolley, to spend a few days' in Leeds. Born, Sept. 6, a daughter to Mr. and Mrs. James E. Turner, Jr., all concerned doing nicely. Mr. and Mrs. Victor Iverson and Mrs. E. M. Iverson made a trip to Cedar City Wednesday. Mrs. Maria Funk returned recently from a month's visit to relatives in Monroe. |
