Show ACCIDENTAL SIT FATAL TO HURRICIEIN Morelos Eagar Found Early Last Friday Near Mother's Moth-er's Home With Shotgun Shot-gun Wound in Heart Morelos Eagar. 31, of Hurricane Hurri-cane was found dead at daylight Friday by his wife after an all-night all-night search had failed to reveal re-veal the whereabouts of the man. He was lying on his back beside a fence separating thet home of his mother from that of a neighbor. A gaping wound was torn in his chest, and a shotgun which he was returning to the neighbor, stood against the fence nearby. In the' breach, was a discharged shell. The verdict ver-dict of the coroner's jury was that he had come to his deatli from an accidental gunshot wound. Eagar and his wife had spent Thursday evening at the home of his mother, Mrs. Nancy Eagar. Ea-gar. He informed them that he had secured a job on Kolob mountain herding sheep for Jack Hopkins of Cedar City, and that he would leave the following morning. Having borrowed bor-rowed a shotgun from a neighbor neigh-bor some time before, he saiil he would return it, and taking the gun, started across the lot-He lot-He never returned. His wife, thinking he had gone to bid friends goodbye, thought nothing noth-ing of his absence until late that night. She returned to her home, retired, but later went, again to the home of Eagar's mother. A search of the town was made but no trace, of htm found. At daylight Friday, again taking up the search, the wife saw him "lying" beside the feweft. Neither woman had heard the report of the gun. The coroner's jury came to the conclusion that he had attempted, to go over the fence after leaning lean-ing the gun against the wire. In some way it was discharged, killing him instantly. Morelos Eagar was bom in Morelos, Mexico, July 1, 1901.. the son of Joseph and Nancy Eagar. The former now resides in Woodruff, Arizona. The family fam-ily came to Hurricane after llto, exodus from Mexico and hunt lived there -since. For some Lima he was nightwatehman and was relieved from the job en July 1.
