At a meeting of the school board held August 30, the financial finan-cial problem of the district was discussed at length. It was decided de-cided to present a program to the teachers relative to salary, which if it meets with their approval, ap-proval, will mean a saving of considerable interest. Placement of teachers and problems of transportation occupied the major ma-jor portion of the meeting. It is hoped by those in charge that an extra effort will be made by parents and children to have everyone in school on the opening day, and to make the attendance as regular as possible. The teachers are all determined that this generation shall not be handicapped because of inferior teadhing and that the depression will not enter the school room. Arrangements have been made whereby wood, coal and produce will be taken in payment ' for high school fees.
